Pretty sure I had surgery
I'm now 12 weeks out and I found it best to follow the plan when it come to amounts of food but I also made myself a meal eating plan as well. Eat breakfast , lunch, dinner and snacks at the same time approximately each day. I do the same with vitamins, I have reminders programmed into my phone.
My pouch was very noisy in the beginning and the sounds , sounded like hunger sounds, but they were not.
I do feel some hunger now but I could easily wait many more hours before eating.
I look at this as a training period for the rest of my life.
Hopefully new habits will help me refrain form old habits.
( at least most of the time)
Good Luck!
Thanks for the post as it is a good reminder for me pre-op to follow the diet the way they are telling me. I just assumed that after the surgery, I would not be able to eat anything so really, I was wondering why I had to measure now ... but, if there is a chance I could be hungry or eat more than I should after, then I see the method to the pre-op diet madness.
thanks for your sharing and let's all remember not to judge our friends here - if we don't have anything nice to say, we just shouldn't say it. We judge ourselves enough and we are certainly judged by the world enough. Have a great day.
It's good that you recognized that something was not right and you checked it out. I felt 'full' after surgery, but not the old full feeling. I had the foamies a few times until I recoginized when I was fulll - I also had a hiatal hernia repair and that was pretty touchy for a while.
Measure with a 1/4 cup or scale for 3 months. Informally, it takes twice as long for your insides to heal as your outsides. So, my incisions took 6 weeks to heal on the outside, so I gave them 3 months to heal on the inside.
