Pretty sure I had surgery

ok, so I am 3 weeks post op and can eat fairly large portions. I know I had surgery, but I'm concerned with the amount my pouch is holding.  For dinner I had a baby bell, 1/2 cup turkey chili, was still feeling a bit hungry so had a piece of cheese and3 crackers!  Is this normal?

All the nerves to your stomach were severed. Try to stick to the amount you are allowed. Rupturing the stitches would not be good

Hi there , at 3 weeks out you will not have any feelings . Make sure you are measuring and or weighing your food . You don't want to be chasing that  full feeling . Good luck .

What the others have said is right. It can take up to 6 weeks before you feel restriction. That's why it's important to stick with your program and eat only the portions you are prescribed.

You also need to work on telling the difference between hunger, and not feeling full. You don't want to be chasing that full feeling anymore.

Also, were you prescribed a ppi post op? Often acid masquerade's as hunger.

congrats on the surgery, keep up the work!

Thanks everyone, great advice. Today I went and bought a scale. That should help. I will stick to the meal plan. I am losing so that's a good thing.

I am 6 wks out and am not feeling hunger or fullness.  Kitchen scale and measuring utensils are my best kitchen buddies. Like others are saying the stomach nerves have been cut and there really is no feelings of hunger or fullness at this stage.

I fell off track n ate all kinds of foolery. .. I have vegan "meatballs" and veggie egg roll n chewed it up to mash. But for me tho I dump or vomit easily if my stomach don't like it I'm going on 4 weeks 1 month tomorrow n I refuse to hurt my pouch in any way so I'm back on track this week. Better to be safe than sorry.

Veggie egg rolls?  Nothing nutritious or protein packed in this.  Please reevaluate your choices.
