Delays at HRH

Hello!

This is my first-ever post on Obesityhelp, wooh!

I attended orientation at Humber River on August 19 and was told I could expect my first appointment - with a dietician, I believe - to take place in about 2 months.

I called and they informed me they are behind and are only just booking these appointments for June orientation patients.

Does this mean that the entire process will likely be delayed, or is it possible I could catch up later?

Like many, I have infertility issues on the table and being 37, time is an important factor (along with a few other health issues).

Thanks so much.

Hi there. My referral to the program was in february. I had my orientation June 6th and got a call last week for my first appointment with surgeon.  It was today. At this appointment they gave me my social worker, nurse and dietician appointments....booked for February.  Not sure what timing will look like afterwards. Hope this helps.

Anywhere from a year to a year and a half is about normal unfortunately.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!

So it looks like it's the later portion of the process that has more appointments, not the beginning. My expectations were off.

Thanks all.
