Today is a big day!!!

I would like to say it gets better..... but that may not happen. For me, I found that it had to be ice cold. I would make in a shaker bottle or magic bullet, and then put it in the freezer until it started to freeze on top. Maybe the coldness froze my taste buds enough not to notice. Haha.

Cheers

Excellent.  The time will pass quickly.  Just take it one drink at a time.  Everyone finds what works for them.  Personally I found out I preferred to add a little more water and have it straight up. We will make room on the bench.

Hi Deb007!!

The time is passing very quickly and I was thinking, am I ready for this?  Yes I am!!  Nothing changes if nothing changes!

Yes, the Opti has to be straight up for me.   I will try abit more water I think.  Going to have my vanilla one at 1pm.

Thanks for making room on the bench for me!!!  I will be sitting with all you amazing losers soon!!!

Thanks Faye!!  I hope I got this!!  I'm so nervous.....wish I had a crystal ball to see if all will work out well for me.  Just had my vanilla Opti fast shake.  Wasn't as bad as the chocolate, thankfully. LOL

The fear of the unknown can be paralyzingly!!

Yes it can be. I found the couple days before I was the most nervous but right after surgery that all disappeared. Keep up a positive attitude and know we are all rooting for you to join us.  I really disliked the vanilla and found the chocolate so much better. Funny how we all have such different tastes.

Congratulations on getting this far, Porridge.

I'm on day 4 of Optifast and my surgery is scheduled for Nov 21st. I don't love it, I don't hate it, it's just tolerable. I've been mixing it in different volumes of water and I prefer it in 24 oz or more. If you hate the taste then more volume probably isn't the way to go but for me it dilutes the taste and leaves me fuller longer. I have also been brewing hazelnut decaf and chilling it in the fridge just to have a slight variation in flavour. The one thing I am enjoying the simplicity of it all, nothing to plan, nothing to cook and very few dishes!

Good luck in your journey to improved health and happiness!
