Hi guys! I went for orientation a second time September 20th. About two weeks after that, I found out I'm pregnant after battling with secondary infertility. I'm now 10 weeks. I would love to still go through with the process but I'm wondering if anyone else ever went through this??? Will they allow me to go through the motions while pregnant and then wait until after I have the baby to get my surgery?? I don't want to be discharged and have to do orientation a 3rd time!!

Thank you for your advice!!!

Congratulations!  I don't see why you cant keep going through the motions since it takes a long time from start to finish.  I wouldn't even tell them anything right now and just keep moving forward.

Good luck!

Congratulations! I would definitely tell them, be honest. There are special dietary needs your body has before and after pregnancy and they would need to know about it.

At least be on the up and up with them. Otherwise they'll know when you do bloodwork and ultrasound ;)

They don't recommend you get pregnant post op for at least 1-2 yr. as it can take a yr to go through the process don't be surprised they make you wait. you will need the extra calories with pregnancy. better to make good nutritional choices and start when not breast feeding etc... they will keep your file for a ur.

Yes but she isn't getting pregnant after.  She is having the baby then wanting the surgery.  I can see why they don't want you to have a baby soon after.  You need to heal, lose the weight and get through a lot of changes first.  Carrying and delivering a baby is stressful!

The scheduler called me today to schedule my one on ones for mid april. I said I'm pregnant and due end of may. She said too bad. We're discharging you and you have to be re referred and start all over. I don't see why they couldn't put me on hold and just wait a month or two to book my appointments. I'm so frustrated.
