Why cream soup
Broth is fine. After so long on clear fluids, many want to transition to something more substantial. The Unjury chicken broth is good, just don't overheat it or it clumps. Did you order yours online?

Usually squash soup is considered pureed unless things have changed. Also unless it has cream or milk in it then it likely won't be very high protein, most creamed soups are the ones you add milk to like cream of chicken or mushroom, etc. I added unflavoured protein to lots of things early out. As others have said, the secret to adding it to hot stuff is that it can't be too hot. A friend of mine would mix up her unflavoured in milk then use it as a creamer all day in her coffee or tea to get in extra protein that way as well.
I'm on the liquids stage and cream of potato soup has been my favorite thing! I had it on day #2 home from the hospital. It was awesome to have something savoury after all those shakes before surgery.
I also had pumpkin and butternut squash - but they were thinner like soup vs like pureed food. Both were fine. It was about 5 days out.
I almost made cheese soup (it's a real thing!) because I want cheese so much. But didn't. :)
