Feet shrinking?

Hi Folks,

I know this is a weird question - but for those on the losers bench I'm wondering did anyone experience going down in shoe size?

I was 8-1/2 when I had surgery on October 16.  I went to a Christmas party on December 8.

I had been wearing tennis shoes and put dressy shoes on for the party.  They were all too big to walk in.

I had gone down to size 7 in less than two months.

The length of my feet didn't change but I notice my shoes are more loose. So maybe width has changed?!

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Go to a shoe store where they take the time to measure your feet and make sure you are in the right size.  For me the weight was just pushing my feet out and flattening my arches.  Losing weight let them go back to their normal size and position.

i can't wait till my arches aren't stretched to the extent they are now...so painful.

i went from a wide 8.5 down to a size 6 within a few months of surgery.  I have very small feet but they were super wide. I had to keep buying bigger shoes to fit the width.  They strunk fast after surgery now i can almost buy my shoes in kids section again lol

Shoes (like clothes) fit so much more comfortably now. I noticed a change in my foot size but only a half size. The big difference is how my feel look - bony now and not puffy at all. They are also cold all the time, lol. I also notice I can wear heels all day without my feet aching or without me walking strategically - my heels are super comfy and I no longer bring flats with me for between meetings because my feet don't hurt at all :)

I'm not at goal yet (only 5 months out and down 86 lbs so the best is still yet to come!)

Good luck and enjoy your journey!

Nikki

Plantar fasciitis was one of the reasons I had surgery It was agonizing and nothing helped. Mornings and evenings were the worst. I was essentially hobbled from pain, unable to walk to my bedroom at night. The doctors couldn't do anything about it.

I'm at nearly three months out, and my tendon is only sore when I deliberately stretch it. Essentially, the pain is gone.

Good luck to you!!!!

I had surgery in July and my shoes have definitely gotten looser. I have recently noticed that my cracked heels are a lot better and most of my feet feel soft now.
