:) excited and scared
I have an amazing life, the most amazing husband and adult kids. I want to be alive as long as I can to enjoy them.
:)
I really had no problems post-op except for the protein issue. I'm starting week 6 now and I'm still struggling to get my 60+ grams of protein daily. I have food sensitivities so hopefully that will resolve itself soon. I'm really still at the puree stage. I tried eating a bit of eggs, chicken, fish none agree. I seem to be doing better with a vegetarian diet and things such as cottage cheese, soups. But overall I feel great and would do it all over again. It was the best decision I ever did.
Yay you! Grats! It sounds like you have a lot motivating this change. :)
I had my surgery with Dr Mamazza at the Civic on September 21. The doctor and hospital staff were amazing!
I nabbed a stack of the clear medicine cups they gave me and have found them very useful for making sure I was drinking enough the day or two after I was released. Now I use them for one of the meds I take which I still need to grind up. I also snagged the Beneprotein packets they gave me with my meals, I had no interest in eating the jello or anything while I was there.
