NERVES

I totally agree with the ear plugs and sleep mask. My roommate had a knee replacement surgery and was in a lot of pain. They checked on her hourly throughout the night. When the a lab tech came to draw blood in the morning she tried to wake me up but I didn't hear her because of the ear plugs. She had to shake me awake. I think she was surprised I had them in.

Funny thing though... She locked the railing up on the side of the bed when she was done and I didn't know how to get out so I had to call my nurse to get out and go to the bathroom!! No good when you are in a hurry ;)

Congratulations on your surgery. I know it's easier said than done but believe me, it's a good nap.

As for what.to bring to the hospital, you're not in there.that long to really need anything. Maybe a cover up or robe and slippers so that you can walk the hallways in comfort.

If your shoes just slip on, that'll work. You won't be wanting to bend over much the first 2 weeks.

I got a cheap pair from Walmart. I think I got men's and didn't realize it cause they.were pretty big on me and I have fat feet to begin with, lol.

The best thing I can tell you is that the surgery is easier than you think

Wow, Monday! I'm happy for you and wish you a speedy recovery.

I just met with my surgeon for the first time today, via computer monitor, and am now waiting for the date for my surgery; I was told it would likely happen in January 2017.

Keep us updated as you go along.

Take care,

Kathy
