Here we go
I just got a call from TWH and my surgery has been moved from Jan 24 to October 25. I have to start Optifast now and I will be a couple of days short of my full 3 weeks. Kind of scared now. I have put on 6 pounds since July so I am more than a little worried. I know I can take that off within a week, but it's still freaking me out a little. I am ready for this change, but I just hope I haven't messed things up
Good luck with everything, you can do it! I am in Toronto at St. Joe's on the 24th for orientation, then surgery is November 15. Are you travelling from outside Toronto?

I didn't know St. Joe's was part of the bariatric program in Toronto ... thought it was just TWH, Toronto East General and St. Michael's.

St Joseph Health Center has 2 surgeons Dr Lindsey and Dr Sullivan they work with Sudbury bariatric clinic (a non surgical center) northern Ontario patients get referred to Sudbury Bariatric Clinic they do all their appointments in Sudbury and then their files are forwarded to St Joesph Health Center and a surgeon is picked and you do a video conference with your surgeon and then surgery is done in Toronto.
I am travelling down from Sudbury. I still have to find a cheap hotel to stay in close to St.Joe's, in November, any suggestions?

Now that I have had a few hours to digest everything, I am all good. I was instructed to take diabetic Boost last night until I could pick up the Optifadt today. Had my first one for lunch. Not the best, but I will do this. I also have a head cold this morning, so i am trying to drink more water and tea to flu**** now. A mid afternoon nap didn't hurt.
I added lots of decaf coffee crystals and ice then blended the Opti. You'll do well.
