50k race
I have not posted here in a very long time but I wanted to share one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life and that was run a 50k race today. I finished strong and felt like I could have kept going. I was not sure if I wanted to post this but I want people to realize if you truly want to take up running you can do it. I started running 2 minutes of running and 1 minute of walking. What ever you your goal is if you truly want it do the work and it can happen. It did for me today.
Hey Highlandbear, good to see you posting again. Well done on the race, that's a great NSV.

Ottawa this year was September 3rd. Probably goes by when the long weekend is. I don't know anyone who did the distance there. I know many of my tri friends who have done Barrelman. They like it. Neither are Ironman brand races, so it will be a bit different, if that matters to you. Same distance though. My first half was in Peterborough, when they still had it, and it wasn't Ironman branding either.
