File gets reviewed to day at TWH (next step SURGEON)

So it finally came and i brought my books and my notes and my EVERYTHING 

it was a hard haul with my cane and my sore sore legs (arthritis is really bad with the strange wet weather we've been having)

The dietitian said i looked really prepared and she could see no reason to put off reviewing my file. she was going to try to get it in today. which is awesome but even if it is next week i will still be that one step closer to my goal. 

i am super excited.

SO i got the call at home when i was at work last night. i have an appointment with the surgeon. i just have to call during business hours to find out when the appointment is. I am Bouncy with joy. in fact i didn't sleep at all last night. just think how excited i will be come surgery date. 

UPDATE SURGEON APPOINTMENT DATE IS NOVEMBER 25TH

Yup. TWH. I know another person that sees the surgeon that day. He was in the same orientation and nut class as me. And he is in the same support group lol. Maybe we will all be surgery buddies. ? right now Nov 25 seems so far away. 

I know right? it does seem far away. but hey it is closer to healthy than i have been in a long time. i blame myself my erratic work schedule meant i had to put off some appointments (reschedule and what not)

so i pushed my time back unfortunately that meant that my end goal was pushed back too. but now i have a surgery buddy so it is not so bad.

I was cleared for surgery in Windsor late August, went to the surgical ed class, and now I wait. Seems like everything is happening much faster for everyone else LOL

I'm dying here waiting! Pace... pace... pace...

Hi Melissa, what hospital did you choose for your surgery? I'm going through Windsor as well and am wondering if the waits are different depending on your choice.

I told them to choose whichever one goes quickest (I'm supposed to be going to westminster dog show in February LOL) and they selected Michael Garron (TEGH). I'll keep you posted! 

Someone who selected Guelph last week has already seen the surgeon and is scheduled November 10.

Oh wow ..... That must be frustrating for you then that the other person got their date quicker.  I suppose it's just a best guess about wait times.   I chose St Michaels as they are able to another surgery I need at the same time, but I don't wait a date until the New Year anyways so not in a hurry. 

My surgical Ed class is in another 3 weeks so I still have some time to wait. Hope you hear soon.

That would be so frustrating. i can understand your impatience I think as soon as i knew this was going to be a new chapter in my life i wanted to skip to the big stuff.
