2nd appt with Surgeon - get my Optifast

I have my second appointment with the surgeon on October 25th.  I was told to bring shopping bags for my optifast.   Does that mean my surgery will most like be 3 weeks after?   Or do I get the optifast and might be asked to wait a month or two before starting it?   What has your experience been like?

No it does not mean you will get your Wls date.  You will have your Optifast at home and when you get the call of your surgery date they will give you the date to start Optifast.  But it is fairly quick.

I had my surgeon appointment this week, pick up the optifast. I was given a few dates to pick from to have surgery. My surgeons office has 4-5 surgeons, so it depends on availability. 

Which hospital are you having surgery at?

I'm with Dr Klein at Humber River.   How far out were the dates you had to chose from?

I met with Dr Klein, he's booking surgery in mid November. I was offered to have Dr Hyunh h(sp?) I'll be having surgery in two weeks.

prepare to wait well over an hour to see the Dr.
