Congrats! Just wondering the timing difference. How did your take 7 months and some others 12-15 months. I have orientation in Sudbury next week and anxious to get it done asap :) Do they triage who is in need he most (most weight to lose, co-morbities etc). Does Sudbury deal with a certain hospital or more than one? thank you for your time :) Newbie here.

Hey there! Just like Kathy below says. I too think it has to do with the length of tests and appointments. I was very fortunate and had all my appointments scheduled on the same day and didn't have to do a sleep test. I also was very proactive in getting all the results for things like mammogram, stool test, logging all food and activity .. etc. All the tests they mentioned in orientation I immediately started them so when it came time to meet nurses, dietician and physio then I was way ahead of the game! Good luck to you. I'm 7 months out now and have lost 82 pounds. Best decision I ever made. You'll be amazed at how fast it will come

It's been over 2 years for me and I will be meeting with the surgeon via computer conference next week. It took so long because I needed an OK from an asthma specialist and mine was unavailable so it took a year before I could get in to see another one. It took so long I had to start over with new blood work and then my D levels were too low and it took over 6 months to get them up. By then it had been so long that I had to go to orientation again, lol. I'm sure other people had less problems and took less time. Good luck!
