What are you eating/doing Wednesday?
Good morning everyone! Up a little early this morning because I'm off to Chatham for some training today. As I was buzzing around the kitchen doing all kinds of prep last night I realized today is an up in the air day because of said training. Oh well will make the best of not having fridge access for my snacks/lunch.
Just a half day training so will be going for lunch before heading back home. Don't know what it will be other than protein!! So will come back later to update my day.
But so far:
B - 1 egg scrambled, with a cheese slice
S - premier protein shake, cucumber slices
L - ??
S - ??
D - 2 oz baby spinach, with 4 oz chicken breast, 1 oz cranberry goat cheese, 2 tbsp. lite poppyseed dressing (this salad is soooo yummy, I just love the creamy texture and flavour of the goat cheese)
Totals (so far) Cal 613, Carbs 26, Protein 32
Happy Hump Day!
Good morning :)
So I finally wore my Sketchers shoes for teaching yesterday and they were so comfy -- I can't remember who suggested them (Pat? CC?), but they were so right!! I came home and ordered two more pairs in different colours :)
In other news, my BF has sort of started eating healthier which has made a bit of a change around here. He nags me (lovingly) if I eat a piece of bread. It's nice because it means we don't have as many carby foods. I met a co-worker of his on the weekend who had noticed he was eating better. She said everyone notices when he turns down food because that never happens with him. They were giving out fudgecicles and he said no. So proud of him ;)
Breakfast - protein soft serve
Snack - oatmeal, yogurt
Lunch - I have beef planned, but I'm not sure how that will sit in my pouch for teaching.
Snack - cheese stick
Dinner - chicken, squash
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Back on track today! Protein shake for breakfast, and homemade chicken taco soup for lunch. Not sure about supper yet though. We have bible study at our house so it will be a bit of a busy night. As long as I don't snack throughout the day, it will be fine.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone. Ginny your dinner does sound scrumptious. Meg so glad you found some comfy shoes, standing for long periods of time can be hell on the feet even if we are lighter. Daisy have fun hosting the study tonight.
Today I'm going to tackle more of the mountain of paperwork. Some people have a mountain of laundry and I have paperwork. I hate being on restricted exercise. I'm afraid all of my muscles will turn back to mush. The one good thing is that my housework is getting done.
Yesterday I went to 2 stores and I couldn't find the Source Greek Yogurt in Apple Pie flavour. They used to have lime, orange, vanilla with chocolate, and now it seems that there is only peach and strawberry fruit on the bottom. I liked it because it was only 80 calories and a good source of protein with low carbs. It seems the other brands are high in carbs if they're flavoured.
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone. Biking home tonight. I have not biked in months. This should be painful! I think my knees could use the exercise. They have been locking a lot lately. My son is coming for dinner. I am sure he is in panic mode at this point. He is such a procrastinator I am sure he needs to use a ton of things for the wedding.
Going to a union meeting for lunch. They are serving Kanga meat pies. I am told they are amazing. I am taking my own lunch.

Morning all. Had a good sleep and the day feels positive already. No placement this week yet although i have a placement to go to, now I'm just waiting for my health form. Dr is taking his sweet time filling it out and waiting for results. So since i have no place to go, i will catch up on note and homework, run a few errands and the gym for boxing.
Did i mention I'm loving my fit bit? Its a huge motivator and I'm getting 10-14 000 steps in daily. This is huge because i seriously need to lose some rebound weight. I eat like I'm crazy sometimes and always remorseful later on. I have been walking during the 10min breaks we get at school and a few rounds at lunch time. Help me gang to get some of by December.

Chicken tortilla soup was SOOO easy! (I used the wrong name above)
This is the recipe. But I didn't really follow it.
We had left over chicken, so I shredded it - I'd say I had about 3 cups of chicken. I mixed that with a jar of salsa, 500 mls of chicken broth, taco seasoning, 2 cans of mixed beans and 2 cans of beans in tomato sauce. I actually wasn't a huge fan of the beans in tomato sauce so next time I will use more salsa or canned tomatoes. I added it all to the crock pot and let it cook on low for about 5 hours.
I served it with sour cream, cheddar cheese and tortilla chips.
