been away.. sadly gaining weight after 5.5 years
Hey there doll face,
There are going to be ebbs and flows in our journey. They're going to be ups and downs. I always laugh when people say that surgery is going to stop the roller coaster of weight as it doesn't.
Being a long timer, you know that the momentum fades, life gets us headed in another direction and we live life day today, forgetting the rules that we are supposed to live by forever.
Well forever is a mighty long time isn't it?
I do think that there are times when we are motivated to lose weight and times that we are not. I think sometimes the goal is not to lose but just to sustain where we are. I've done many things and tried many programs when I'm not in a losing framework and it really doesn't work for me. I think that you will know when you want to work on It.
If it really is your time to work on it and you are feeling motivated, it begins with 5 pounds.
Skip the fad diet. The easiest things to work on without much issue are typically replacing more carbs with protein, and cutting out liquid calories. Protein shakes are always a good thing
Start with 5 pounds. When you've accomplished that, set the next 5 pounds.

I remember you! I've been gone for a long time, too, and am finding my motivation slipping so I thought I'd pop in tonight to do some reading. Great to see some familiar names and faces!
Monica, you don't know this but you were one of my inspirations when I first started this journey. I'm almost 3 yrs post-op and 150 lbs down but I started following your posts 4+ yrs ago. So, I know you can do this and get back on track. WE can do this!!
