Best Multivitamins for first month after surgery
Hey all,
Need a little advice. My surgery is on Thursday, and I`m in a bit of a panic. I bought some multivitamins...and wasn`t thinking about how big they were, they are the same size as a Centrum multivitamin, and not chewable . Anyone have advice for the best multivitamin for RNY? and what did you take immediately after surgery? Also, what about swallowing Tylenol? Any advice for the first few days out of surgery would be amazing!!!!
Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hi EmAlways!
Good luck on your up coming surgery.
I get my multivitamin from ProCare Health in the States. They are chewable. They have everything in it, except Calcium Citrate of course because you don't take the two together. I used liquid Calcium Citrate from Walmart. Mixed it with my Crystal Light drink, or in some applesauce.

For the first two days post op, I had percs. I bought a pill crusher from Dollarama. After those two days, I haven't needed any kind of pain reliever.
Hope that helps.

Skotti

Hi Skotti,
How it the taste, I don't like Centrum chewables. How about the expiry dates cuz they have free shipping is I buy over $50.00 and a 30day supply is on sale $11.99. Oh and is this American $$ or Canadian :-) still a good price regardless but just asking.
Thanks

Hey LeslieT3440!
They have an orange taste to them. I quite enjoy them actually. A little swig of water if you need to when done chewing.
Yes American dollars. This last time I got them was 2 months ago, and the expiry date is 04/2018, so that is really good.
You should talk to Erin(ext 228) She is really helpful. (tell her I said "hi" :) ) They have very fast shipping too.
Cheers,
Skotti

Thanks, I think I will give them a try. Thanks for sharing I love the fact they are only one a day. My surgery is not until November but 6 - 7 mos ago I started taking vitamins so I will have the schedule down pat cuz I am not really good at sticking to taking meds and such so I have been very strict with myself o get used to a life time of vitamins.
:-)

Thanks for the information Skotti :) I just purchased a years supply and they guaranteed they would be no problems with the expiry dates on them. Also received a free bottle for the purchase and a discount on the shipping ... no date yet but I'm getting very close!
