My timeline from referral to surgery , was 9.5 months.  I am going through Hotel Dieu in Kingston with surgery at Toronto East General Hospital.

By what I'm seeing, sadly I don't think you are ready for WLS.  This is very serious stuff.  Getting pregnant shortly after surgery is not recommended because your unborn child will suffer.

Maybe I wasn't clear or you misread. I didn't mean to imply this wasn't serious stuff. I didn't say I intended to get pregnant shortly after surgery. I think anyone who has done any research on WLS or had a general knowledge of how pregnancy works would know that would be foolish. But wanting to have a healthy pregnancy is part of my desire to lose weight and therefore have WLS. If I have surgery I would be waiting the recommended time before trying to conceive. That's why I'm considering a private clinic if the wait time was going to be a very long time, because if the wait for surgery was very long, we could start a family sooner by having the surgery sooner. But to be clear, I didn't say I intended to have surgery and then immediately start a family.

I kinda agree, wls is major, if you go to a private clinic to try and ru**** you will have a higher risk of just gaining back all the weight. the program is there so you succeed! wls is not easy if your not following all the rules it's not going to work. there is already a high % of people *****gain all their weight.... and guess what? they don't give them revisions for not following the program. take time to research learn. I'm going through Windsor and it's been maybe 7 months? and I'm going to surgical Ed. it's not always on the longer side of 18 months a lot plays into how long it takes tests, are you ready, are you making changes etc.

I have been in process since 2015, they discharged me from the program once and again after 3 months I got the next appointment, Toronto Western Hospital is the worst place to go for the wait time is more than a year and appointments are so confusing if you miss one appointment They will give you same appointment in 6 months, I found Humber is the best place to get it done. Same happened to my friend, the employees just so rude and not cooperating with you.
