What a crazy, overwhelming day! I had my trios appointments and everything went smooth (thank you to everyone for passing on their experiences, it helped tremendously).

I didn't realize things were going to happen so quickly but I have a surgery date of September 14th (Dr. Starr)!! I will have to report back later on how I am feeling about the whole process, right now my emotions are all over the map.

And so it begins.....

Wishing your surgery goes as smoothly as your appointments.  I, like many of the others here have not regrets except that it wasn't done sooner.

That's fantastic!!

I'm so happy your trio appt went smoothly as did mine. I think as long as you're prepared, you should be fine.

i had my trio appt on Tuesday but haven't been notified with a date yet. Did you call your surgeons office? I was told they'd call me in two weeks.

So the dust has settle and I am more convinced than ever that I am on the right path. I am excited to be on this journey.

MonaLisaSmile, I agree; we wait so long that we are convinced it will never happen and then when it does we are surprised.

Akatiti, I called the surgeons office about an hour after my appointments were done. I called to ensure they had all the information they needed (including the information from Dr. Glazer). Dr. Starr encouraged me to call his office anytime I had questions or wanted to follow up. So far, his team has been amazing.

Thanks for the info.

you're a month away, that's so exciting!

I got a call today to schedule surgery this month, but I declined.

I'll be getting the optifast in September and surgery will be October. Things are moving so fast now

What is the trio appt?  Is this just the nurse, psych and Social Worker?

I have done all those separately already - do I do them again?

I have asked this question before but never got an answer from anyone.

Thanks in advance

No. You're through TWH and Pina is through Humber. Humber schedules all 3 appointments on the same day. TWH schedules separately.
