Hi guys,

Where is it possible to do a SADI / SADI-S surgery in Toronto?

I did some research, but didn't find.

Thanks!

Haven't heard of anywhere doing it. RNY is gold standard. If it is not possible they'll do sleeve

Very sadly... Then I will look for Biliopancreatic Diversion (aka BPD aka Scopinaro procedure). It is the surgery number 2 in my preference list (SADI is number one).

If you are looking for OHIP to pay then you need to be referred by your family doctor to the registry.  If your Bmi is high enough, over 50 minimum,  then request a referral to Dr. Hong in Hamilton.  He does the DS on select patients.  Just don't count on it.  Generally reserved for very high BMI 'S  who can show they will be compliant with the specific DS lifestyle.

if you want to self pay, you can go to the states.

Toronto hospitals only do RNY and then VSG if there's a reason that you can't have RNY.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

77 lbs lost and counting!

Losing the regain! I got this!
