Orientation Date!

As fate will do, last night I told my husband I was having serious doubts about the surgery. Today, TWH hospital called me with an orientation date. ?

Anyone else going for orientation Sept 24?

Is there a Toronto based support group I can go to before surgery to assist me in deciding if this is right for me?

At my orientation they gave me a list of support groups to go to.  the process is quite long really.  You can always change your mind at the end.  The surgery won't happy tomorrow, so I would say keep through the process, find out as much as you can about, meet with all the professionals and then if at the end you decide it is not for you, at least you are making that decision fully informed.  Good luck to you.  It is a super scary process for sure.

I say the same, attend all the sessions and at the end you can always change your mind.  It can take a year or more - so yes it takes time.  Good Luck!

Oh the irony.  Same story.  I was SUPER excited.  Got second thoughts Sunday.  Got my package today.  Orientation on Oct. 5th.
