Hi everyone.

I went through Humber as well with Dr Klein.  He was great.   I find the Baractric clinic awful about returning  phone calls. In fact it really makes me angry!  I find them to be of no help/support.  Try to find someone having surgery the same day as you.  I have an amazing support system through a friend not the clinic.    dr Kleins office is great about seeing you and returning calls.    Eating has been tough for me    Still can't drink plain water but everyday is better.  I have lost over 55 lbs since Opti    My surgery was April 13.   I don't ever feel hungry but sometimes I want to eat, I think from boredom

Best of luck with your journey

The only thing I'll add is make sure you keep testing your sugar levels.  When I had surgery, my roommate was diabetic, and her tester died the night before surgery so she didn't take her insulin.  They gave her some (lower than she usually takes) at the hospital, but it took a couple days for her sugar levels to stabilize.  She ended up in for an extra couple days because of this.

Other than that, neither of us had any complications.

I wish you well on your journey.

Welcome to OH, lots to research here.  Also I would say add coffee crystals to your Opti, it was the only way I could stand the sweetness.  The other thing would be to take earplugs to the hospital so you can get some rest.  Sip, walk, toot, sip walk, toot, repeat.
