3 month post op update

Just wanted to check in and provide a 3 month post update.

My surgeon was Dr. Starr at Humber ( Humber and Dr Starr rule!) on April 15 2016

What can I say life is changing fast. Type 2 diabetes and the 7 pills a day I took are done ! Blood pressure pills are 25% of what they were in April, things are good.

Some positive habits that I have now started including cooking and packing my own lunch for work every day. 1 hour of exercise 6 days a week and even my attitude is changing about life and the future .

Things I do to keep me successful , log all food, keep the calories around 750, carbs and fat at 50grams a day and always my 80-100 grams of protein and 2 litres of water. No bread ,rice or pasta. All the carbs I eat are complex carbs no simple ones. My days always include 2-3 meals and 2-3 snacks. Eat on a schedule even when I'm not hungry and spend lots of time outside. I'm also looking forward in joining the boys in weekly hockey come the fall.

Surgery and recovery went pretty good for me, my biggest mistakes includ eating to fast ( I learned the hard way and so will you lol ) , and some constipation YIKES

I am very lucky that I was able to tolerate all foodfrom the get go

I'm a mid 30s male who started at 293.5lbs pre Opti currently sitting at 222.8lbs this morning!

Lurked here for 2 years before surgery, you are all wonderful thank you !

Well done, you!  You are sticking to program and following all the guidelines and look at your amazing results!  So happy for you.  As a newbie out of surgery, love hearing these success stories ... gives me hope and encouragement.  Hopefully I'll be able to encourage others later on, too.
