Totally Bummed

Call in on Tuesday mornings and see if there are any cancellations.  I called every couple of weeks and managed to get my appointment moved by up 8 weeks.  After I got the dietician appointment, it was 2 months til I got to see the surgeon, which is this week.  

I am going to call today and tomorrow I have to go there again so I will ask in person also.

No luck... there are no cancellations yet.  I will call back closer to the end of the month.

I was out of Ottawa and I had see dietician 3 times before she approved me go forward see surgeon.  She just didn't think I was ready. I was not saying what she wanted to hear. Was not drinking enuf water etc. Etc. Just be very specific and tell them you are doing everything they want you doing.

I understand being frustrated, but you're moving fairly quickly through the program, I think. I'm also going through TWH. I was referred last May, had orientation in August. I went through all the appointments and just met the surgeon 2 weeks ago & got my date (June), so that's a full year from the beginning.

Also want to add that yes, I saw the dietician after nutrition class. I believe my nutrition class was in November, my dietitians appointment was in January. Then Your file gets "put into rounds" and you get your surgeons appointment (I was put into rounds in January, my surgeon's appointment was April 1st), just to give you a rough idea...
