Thanks Cc, I do not have a date for the MRI yet, my endocrinologist told me she is asking for it to be done as soon as possible.  I should have asked her how long but I was not thinking straight after she said tumor and surgery.  They found extremely high levels of a certain hormone in the bloodwork my endo asked for, that combined with my other symptoms like extreme fatigue and others led to this conclusion.  There is a possibility they are wrong she said, thus the MRI to confirm. I really do not want another abdominal surgery, so I am hoping they are wrong.  If not, well at least I now have 2 abdo surgeries under my belt (literally), so I know what to expect.  Thank you for the offer to talk, I really appreciate your support.  I hope all is well with you, I noticed you have not done a waye post in a while and was wondering whether things were ok.

Good morning Zizzler. I hope the MRI is soon so you do not have long until you hear the results. I know we try not to worry but it is alway just there in the back of our minds.

I have been a slug with little exercise. Partly because my pain med did not work and partly because other events left me very tired and sore. Then this week the heater on the pool I go to died. So today no excuses. I really need to stretch out my muscles with swimming. I will be tired but right after my joints feel so loose.

My DH picked up trout to make for tonight. I have never been much of a fish eater and never had trout. So I may not eat as much as I put into my fitnesspal

b greek yogurt, shredded wheat, strawberries

l ham/pea/lentil soup, yogurt

s baby bel

d trout, asparagus, salad

s laughing cow breton crackers

s glass of wine

cal 1260, carb 98, prot 92

Thanks Pat, I hear what you are saying about it sort of being at the back of my mind even if you try to proceed as usual.  Your trout sounds good, I have never tried it before either so would be curious as to what you think of it.

I had blood work come back almost 25 years ago with them thinking I had adrenal tumour.  Had all the testing done and it ended up not being anything to worry about.  Am sure you will worry til you know for sure as the word tumour always scares us and we think the worst.  I remember freaking since my son was just a baby at the time.

Thanks Tracey, the word is scary isn't it?  Did you have an MRI done as well as part of the testing?  I have never had one, not sure what to expect.  I am a worrier in general even when there is nothing going on, so ya it is on my mind for sure.  Glad it turned out to be nothing for you, thanks for sharing your experience with me.

MRI that long ago were few and far between and only a few large cities had them so they didn't do that.  The specialist did other types of tests and everything came back fine.  I recently had an MRI for something else and it's similar to a CT scan, louder for sure and if you have to go very far in the actual tube, you may feel confined.  I just closed my eyes and tried to relax.

How long does it usually take in there?

I'm sure it depends on what body parts they are trying to get but mine was only 30 minutes max.  I think my husband was in there for 45 minutes when he needed one for his shoulder.  He was completely in the tube for the shoulder and he said it was very close but closing his eyes made him feel the best.
