Article - Regional Variations in Bariatric Surgery - Ontario
I'm not sure if any of you read Dr. Arya Sharma's Obesity Notes, but he often has interesting articles and studies regarding obesity - bonus, he's Canadian.
His most recent post discusses a study conducted in Ontario with respect to the creation of the COEs and bariatric registry in 2009 and the regional variations in the number of Ontarians receiving bariatric surgery (based on 2009-2012 stats). It's promising to note the large increase in surgeries, and access to obesity-related services, since 2009 - and it's still growing.

There is a link to the actual study in the article as well - Annals of Surgery
Happy reading!
