Ontario Sleevers?
I'm with the Guelph Clinic. Surgeon is Dr. Jules Foute-Nelong. Looking for a good support groups.
Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come.
Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.

I'm in Toronto (downtown). I don't know of any sleeve-specific groups (aside from the VSG forum here on OH). I had my sleeve done on November 6, 2015 at TWH. I had a fairly good experience. I just "graduated" to regular food, so that's fun. At first I had mixed emotions about the sleeve. But on the bright side, you're less likely to experience dumping. Although at first I separated my liquid from food, I now find I can have a sip or two of water ~10 minutes after a meal instead of the full 30 minutes. For me, it's nice (I have dry mouth).
Feel free to ping me if you have any questions.

Welcome to the forum.
Im having RNY Jan 25 in Guelph with Jules foute Nelong.
Found him one of the most experienced surgeons and was told he was the founder of the Guelph program.
If your having a sleeve or RNY they are both successful
the most important thing is to make it success and refuse to fail.
You will do great he is an amazing surgeon and has 700 bypasses under his belt. Of all the surgeons none have more experience. And if he's doing a sleeve then there is a great reason.
Has he told you why he prefers the sleeve to the RNY for you.
Hes a smart man.
Have you had complications. ????
I wish you the best
Simon
