What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Good morning everyone. The holiday season is really hectic in this house, but that's OK, I can handle it (maybe). I had a great visit with NewMe2.0 last week. We did some retail therapy. It was a lot of fun and we hope to do it again soon. In 2 weeks I get to meet Zizzler again, can't wait. We may make a trip to Low Carb Canada and see what's new.
Woke up very early so I thought I would quickly post as it's been a while. I'm still on track and still exercising so all of that is good. My cold is finally over and I have my voice back. Today I'll be swimming and then more shopping for Christmas presents, writing out cards (I know, I'm late with this) general cleanup and laundry, then hopefully an early night.

Sounds like a full day CC.
Getting my friggen hair cut and highlighted today thankfully. I cancelled it to help some friends with their issues and I look a mess. Didn't realize I have so much gray hair and I sure don't want anyone else to see it.
A few other appointments in between my delayed grooming and out for dinner this evening with friends

Good luck with the cut and colour. I had my hair cur last Saturday and think I finally found a good new hair dresser. I gave up on colouring because of scalp irritation. My skin can be a little sensitive. I am all grey although the front is now getting quite white. It is kind of liberating to just go natural. I know a lot of women can not stand the thought of it
Nice to see you back CC.
I appear to be at far too many celebrations this year. Tonight the knitting group is having a party. I am taking cheese and crackers.
My tree is up but not decorated. Maybe tomorrow night. I think DH will put the lights on it. At least then the box with the decorations will be upstairs.
DH is cooking so put in a generic salmon patty since this is what he thinks he is making.

Have you tried the GNC Pumpkin Spice ready to drink protein shake. It's also good in coffee. Your menu looks good.

I'll make an Ugly Bruschetta my kids love it :
2 packs cherry tomatoes (the little square ones that are approx. a cup each and it has to be cherry tomatoes)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup basalmic vinegar (I use cheap oil and vinegar and it's still great)
6 normal sized cloves of garlic (you can always add more since you'll be blending it up)
2 teaspoons of capers (those little green ball things, they're usually sold by the pickles if you aren't familiar)
10 or so leaves of fresh basil (has to be fresh! I grow mine specifically for bruschetta but the packs of fresh leaves usually aren't too hard to find)
some salt and pepper
- Blend up the garlic/oil/vinegar/salt/pepper/basil/capers in blender until it's really fine, then add one pack of the cherry tomatoes and blend some more. If you can't smell the garlic when you open the blender there isn't enough garlic.
- Chop the other pack of tomatoes
- Add it all together and serve on baguette toasted with olive oil
