RNY  6 Years 8 Months Post Op

Morning

Took a sleeping pill last night and slept for 11 hours.  I was tired of being tired so hopefully this gets my body on a better routine .  Down 2 pounds today so really I am figuring I stayed the same the 5 weeks I was away.  Not the worst that can happen however I had really dieted the first 2.5 weeks.  US thanksgiving derailed me and I didn't recover for another 2 weeks.  Really going to try and at least keep the 2 off over the Christmas holidays.

Taking a friend to the hospital this morning - meeting some university friends for a late lunch to celebrate the holidays

Being down 2 is great. This season is a killer. Also 11 hours must make you feel like a new woman. We underestimate the power of sleep.  Two hospital visits in two days. You are a great friend. I hate hospitals. It is always so much waiting around.

I have had a sinus problem, for over a month. Taking stuff but never goes away. Decided the pain was getting to me so finally seeing my doctor today. Otherwise home. I am trying to finish an afghan I am making for my daughter. I am not the greatest crocheter so not sure why I decided to do this. It is helping me to stay out of the kitchen.

I am envious of anyone who is good with their hands.   The thing that bothers me the most in hospitals is the lighting.  Florescent lights make me so tired.  Glad you are seeing the doc today.  We really have tendencies to let things go eh?

I agree about the lights. I am not on antibiotics. So hopefully it will finally go away

Down 2lbs is great Barb!  Like you said now the challenge will be to keep it off over Christmas. This is the toughest time of the year. Good luck!

Evening all. Good job on the 11hrs of rest and 2lb. down. It's tough around this time to stay on track. Hope the doc can treat your troublesome sinuses Pat. School had a xmas diner for us today, whilst the gesture was good, the catered food wasn't all that. The turkey was so dry, even the dark meat almost got stuck. So i only had a few bites of the dinner and bites of salad. Been off food though these last few days, so didn't really bother me that i had little to eat.

It's been too quiet here lately, where has everyone gone to????

2yrs post-op

B - 1/3 sausage, 1 boiled egg

L - few bites turkey and salad, 1/2 diner roll

D - sausage

S - tea

Have a great day all, Nia

Thanks Pat. I hope so too and i'm hoping it's just stress. The nausea especially the last two days has been worse regardless of what i eat. I really hope nothing is going on with my pouch.

Dinner did not sound great. I am sure less stress for awhile would be great for you. But if not see your centre
