What are you doing/eating today ( Sunday)
Hey Zizzler, I'm so sorry you have been having a difficult time. I think this incedent at work has been brewing for a while. You were treated unfairly at work. Sending you hugs. I'm glad that you are loving Movati and you are absolutely worth it.

Exercise has been my anti-depressant since surgery. I was on a slow-release prior to surgery and we were considering what I should take after. But I believe the hormone change I went through after helped with the kick-start of my mental health. It has remained on the "good" side of things up until recently. As I recovered from my last race, exercise was low (for me, still plenty but not the huge amount I was doing during training), and I realize just how much I do need for my mental health. I'm always happier during and after a workout. I hope you continue to find the same results.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
When I started exercising, the the fact that I could do things I never could do before kept me motivated. I still challenge myself like that. In fact one thing I'm working on is to be able to do the splits lol. I was never able to as a child.
When I took up running I thought it would be wonderful to complete a race. I ran on my own, by using an inline training plan. Once I completed my first half marathon, I went for a full. And the. When I completed that I wanted to try to get into Boston (which is a difficult time goal). That is still a goal I am working on. I joined the Running Room's marathon clinic last winter, and gained speed. I also joined a triathlon group which , gave me confidence to do the Ironman. Being with like-minded people still keeps me going. Love my group!
Mostly it is little goals that can keep me going, like a faster time during a speed training workout. Or improving my freestyle stroke in the pool. Two weeks ago we did a fitness test on the bike and we will compare results to the same test that we will do in January. This keeps me wanting to improve.
Most of all, find something that you love. Right now it's your gym. Just keep going and you will soon get into a groove of your own. You'll meet people and they will notice if you're gone for a bit, or that you're going more often. It's a good thing for your body, mind and spirit. Keep it up!
