I am so grateful to be on the road to wellness. I was able to book my appointments with the nurse, SW and NUT. I assume I will need to see each at least twice even though I previously had a gastric band and was very successful with it.

I happy not to rush and learn as much as I can but I look forward to feeling and looking like myself again.

I'm looking at my nutrition and exercise and seeing how I can make small changes. Any other suggestions for while I wait?

How long did it take you to get through the process before you saw the surgeon and got an official answer about surgery? I am in Guelph and know that they are down by two surgeons.

Gastric Band surgery- Aug 2010, 150 lbs weight loss, Band removed in emergency surgery Dec 26, 2015, 75lb weight gain since.

Hey Supermomma22...   See my dates in signature below.  I just got a call today and due to some scheduling "thing", I am going to see the surgeon a week from today - Friday Nov 20th.   I am seeing Dr Pereira Hong (sp?). Although she is on mat leave kinda sorta with her adoption she is assisting in evaluating patients etc. I read on a FB group I follow that someone saw Dr Reed today and they r booked for surgery Jan 7th.   Optifast at Xmas.....yummo!!! :).  The process varies...that is the only constant.   Cancellations are your best friend and you are in charge of your own destiny.   I got snagged up for about 2 months on a CPAP oversight (let's just say the nurse and I agreed to disagree on what happened)? and I COULD in "theory" be going for surgery mid January 2016 I guess.    You just have to go with the flow as far as how you move through the process....minimum 9 months, typically about 12 months....all subject to change with or without notice.   :).   Take the time to work on you.   From your lapband experience you know you can do this.     Good luck!!   ? Cheers!!  ? ?
