Good morning everyone.  I think the wind blowing outside woke me up.  Hopefully I'll be able to get back to sleep later.

Busy day planned today.  We are having a new furnace installed, will try and meet a friend for coffee and then tonight DH and I will go out and have dinner and listen to live music.

DH and I are going away for the weekend so I won't post again until Monday morning.  I will pack snacks for the car, and a protein powder for the weekend. At restaurants I will eat protein and veg.

Well I'm still learning Barb, but I know it's hard to go wrong with protein and veg.  The difficult part is trying to figure out what has the least amount of sauce that has a lot of sugar or fat.  Ended up going to a Thai restaurant yesterday for lunch and I chose the chicken satay on mango salad.  I ate most of the chicken and a little of the salad.  MFP has both of those items as really low cal/low carb/low fat and also the same items are high cal/high carb/low fat.  MFP is only as good as the items entered and they aren't always right.  I go out a lot to eat and it's difficult to know everything that's in the sauce and during a busy lunch hour it's hard to get particulars from young wait staff.

I'll be off to the chiropractor this morning if he has any openings, he's a friend of ours so am sure he will squeeze me in even if I have to go to his house to get adjusted.  My neck kept me awake all night and pain meds aren't helping at all.  Never made it on here yesterday to post since I was out all day shopping but choices were not the best for all meals.  Normal eating for most of the day then out for dinner tonight, I may indulge a bit there as it's a celebration meal.  Wine will most definitely be consumed.

B - protein shake

S - 2 scrambled eggs

L - garlic chicken over a green salad

D - checked the menu as it's a new restaurant in town and am undecided between steak, fish or duck.  May have a warm spinach and mushroom salad as an appetizer or possibly the scallops, at least one glass of red before dinner and if we stick around long enough possibly one after dinner.  If hubby orders dessert, I may take a bite of his.

Morning.

Cc your lunch and dinner both look SO good.

Off to work today. I'm getting tired of my menu lately, so I'm thinking this weekend I'll try some eggface recipies. Any faves that people really like? I've done the ricotta bake and really love it.

Hope everyone has a good one.

Roma I saw on the other forum that someone made a Rachel Ray recipe that was Spanakopita meatballs.  Basically it's ground chicken, frozen spinach, feta, garlic olive oil.  She paired it with a tzatziki sauce.  They sounded yummy and I thought you could also make them with turkey and make a big batch and freeze some.  I would think they would be good with a Marinara sauce too.  I've never tried Eggface's ricotta pancakes, but you could make them sweet or savoury and sometimes she uses them as bread for a sandwich.  What about Eggbites with chive cream cheese and smoked salmon?

Holy cow those meatballs sound great. And it's actually something that my DH and I would both eat (he's a meat and potatoes kind of guy). I'll try them for sure thanks for the tip.

I've been meaning to try the ricotta pancakes too! They seem really versatile. Thanks for the reminder. I'm not a huge egg person so I've been hesitant about the egg bites....

Pat I'm glad that you are back to swimming.  I also see you are eating a banana, are the leg cramps back?
