just checking on what we need to bring to hospital food wise...I have my surgery on Monday at st.mikes and I am curious if we need to supply anything to start trying to "eat" when we are in hospital I know we start with clear liquids I just want to make sure we don't have to bring anything other than personal belongings and vitamins

You will not need to bring food with you.  It will be supplied.  You'll be on clear liquids for your stay in the hospital. If they decide you need the next stage, they'll provide the food.

You definitely don't need to bring anything food-wise - but I hoarded those little clear plastic 2tbsp cups they give you. I still find them handy for measuring, so you might want to grab a few.

I was told by my clinic that as soon as surgery is done we are to start taking them immediately so i am bringing mine with me and will check with nursing staff after surgery just to be on safe side

The only thing I would suggest bringing is protien shakes. I was in Ottawa they had protien shakes provided but boy was it gross. Worst then vanilla opti.  Good luck
