RNY  6 Years 7 Months Post Op

Morning

Feeling bloated this morning so going to have a light eating day.  Not thrilled with the menu I have worked out so may change it up a bit.

 

STEPS - 6657

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

    2 hard boiled egg mashed with 1 TB of Hellman's Light Mayo

 

L - Tijuana Flats - chicken norrito bowl - will eat 1/3 and leave the rest

 

D - 3.5 oz tuna salad with celery and Hellman's Light Mayo

 

S - 1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk with 1 TSP of Turmeric

 

S - Light and Fit Greek

 

S - Decaf with Sugar Free coffee mate in peppermint mocha flavor ( my dessert)

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 665,  Carbs - 37 Grams,  Protein - 61 Grams,  Fibre - 6 Grams

 

All water - 3 litres - decaf coffee and all vits

Good morning everyone.  Barb sorry you're feeling bloated.  Menus can be changed easily if you see a better choice.

Yesterday was a lot of sitting in the car and then sitting while visiting.  I am itching to get moving today.  DH and I are going away on the weekend and I won't be able to go swimming or do Zumba so I had better make the most of it today and tomorrow.

After my workouts today I am meeting a friend for lunch.  I will try and talk her into Japanese which I know she likes.

Had a little bit of an NSV moment yesterday.  People were giving me compliments on how I looked and low and behold I looked over and there was a blast from the past (and not a nice one) staring at me.  They say living well is the best revenge, let's just say I felt like I was living very well, lol.

1 year 3 months post op

S. Large decaf coffee with GNC Protein shake added as creamer

D. Green Thai curry shrimp

S. Qia instant oatmeal made with chia, hemp and buckwheat, protein hot chocolate

Exercise:  Swimming 45 minutes, Zumba 60 minutes

Good morning, 

The wind is whipping out there. Keep warm and dry everyone.

Our vegetarian dinner guest last night really liked the dijon garlic marinated tofu , and so did my pouch. It was a hit! Tasty and full of protein. I'll be eating it for lunch today too. 

I get to work from home todayv which is a rare treat so I'm very happy.

Not a great day out there. Work today. Hoping it is better than yesterday. My tooth is bothering me so need to call the dentist today. I found a pool to try so will try it tomorrow. I have been off the rails lately.

I eat bad for days before I realise what is bothering me and why I am doing it. This is an old habit of burying myself with food/drink so I do not think. So stupid. Now that I have thought through what is bothering me I hope to find a solution and lose the 5 lbs I put on. 

Out tonight to make things to sell at an up-coming craft show.

Morning all. Been awol for the last few days, but all is well. Barb, bloat be gone, lol. That's the worst feeling, just makes you feel icky. I have been trying to return to the Y, but i'm so darn tired everyday, not enough time to do anything after school. No excuses, i know, so i try to stay active as much as possible. My water retention has finally started to subside. I can see the veins in my feet again and my ankle bones.

I was starting to feel good about myself again and then lo and behold, my sister this morning said; "oh those leggings make your thighs look like a michelin doll." I was WTF? Seriously, she has nothing good to say about my weight loss since day one and i told her that and she even have the nerve to say she's giving me constructive criticism and i should have higher self esteem. I told her that with those comments, how would i. She says stuff like that all the time. I think she's annoyed that she's put on weight and i now weigh less than her. I never bash her weight, but yet she feels the need to say stuff to me all the time. Like what or how much i'm eating, drinking, pooping etc. I just ignore her and she gets the hint after a while. Rant over, lol.

2 years post op

B - 2oz pork loin, 2oz shrimp, 1/8 cup cauliflower mash, 1/4 cup green beans

L - 1/3 cup cucumbers, 1 smoked turkey wing

S - 1 turkey pepperoni stick

D - 3.5oz tilapia, 1/3 cup carrots

S - 1 banana, 1 tbsp pb

Good to see you posting Nia. I remember some of the comments your sister made last year. You are doing great with your weight loss and school.   I think you're right and she has been bitten by the green-eyed monster (jealous much lol).

You've been doing great and have made it through some health challenges this year, and stayed on track. She should not be making nasty comments like that to bring you down! I'm glad you are trying not to take it to heart. 

I've noticed that sometimes people take my weight loss personally - like I am judging their weight because I am no longer as heavy. Maybe your sister is feeling insecure herself and taking it out on you. Stay strong!

Thanks Roma. I know for sure she feels insecure of herself and she says it too. So many times she has mentioned how she like it when i was bigger and i just do not understand. In the car this afternoon, i let her know if she keeps making smart comments and stuff about the way i look and eat etc. i will stop talking to her. She knew i was serious because she stayed quiet. I'm sure she'll pipe down for now, until next time.
