Guelph-short one surgeon

Read this on a FB page I follow.......

Dr. Peireira-Hong is off on maternity leave. Story I've heard is that she got word suddenly that she was able to adopt an infant. The Guelph centre has been scrambling to cover all her appointments.   

Dr bojahni is also off for a parental leave so dr jules and dr Reed are very busy 

WOW!!!!    Half staff?????    I hope to find out about coverage for mat leaves when I am at the clinic on Monday for my post op nut class.  Selfishly I don't want this to impact my surgery timeline.     **sigh**

That will explain the back log and why I have been waiting since April to have surgery. But it has given me the time to lose some weight and get into the right mind set. My sister has been referred to TO from Windsor because th th Guelph Guelph a their yearly quota.

Where are you in the process anewbodforme?

IM completing all my apts at the Windsor clinic. I had my referral sent mid sept. Orientation mid Oct and nurse apt on Nov 23.... What has yours and your sistrs timeline been like? I was given the option to choose my surgeon and location for surgery. I'm thinking I might do Toronto if Guelph is out of the question as Guelph was my first choice :( 

 I just started Opti.. I was cleared from Windsor In April. Guelph got my file June 1st met Surgeon Oct (before Thanksgiving. Surgery is Dec 2

Which page is this? I haven't been able to  find and fb pages for surgery :( also my package I got days there are only 3 bariactric surgeons @ Guelph - Reed, Foute-Nelong & Pereira-Hong.  Does that mean they are all going to be back logged??
