Up early here too but not as early as yesterday.  My son drove to Toronto with 6 classmates to listen to their professor speak so was worried until he texted me at 2am to say they were safely back in North Bay.  Hope the University strike ends soon so he can get his ass back to class instead of all these day trips he's made this week.  Not much going on today other than laundry, lawyer's appointment this afternoon and possibly the glass of wine with my neighbour unless she cancels again.  If she calls before my appointment, I'll stick to coffee as I don't want the smell of alcohol on my breath.  On to day 3 of low carbing and it's going very well.  Carb cravings are almost gone, not sure why I ever let them back in when I feel so much better with them kicked to the curb.

Boring menu as follows:

B - veggie frittata, homemade sausage patty

L - taco salad and all the trimmings minus the carby tortilla part

D - 4 to 5 oz of roast pork, 2 tbsp gravy, 1/2 cup green beans

S - likely a NSA jello

tons of water and coffee and earl grey tea throughout the day.

So you made the sausage.  I am impressed.

Great idea re the pork roast that you can eat at will.  I sure need options in the fridge for when I just get too hungry between meals

I wanted something different from bacon every day and store bought sausages are so full of salt and sugar so made my own. I like them crumbled up in scrambled eggs with some salsa on top and I have loads of homemade salsa that I made last fall.  Roast pork will last me a few more days and then it's either a roast beef getting cooked up or a chicken, haven't decided yet.  If I want to low carb, I need meat cooked up and ready to eat for those weak moments.

Well, well, well.... isn't this a blast from the past with you, Tracey and I on the WAYE thread. ;)  Looks like you're both low-carbing (read: white-knuckling) - good thoughts for you today, it's a ***** 'til the cravings pass.

Off to work for the day, have to run a couple of errands at lunch/after, home for dinner/homework/peace. lol Have to remember to wear short sleeves - flu shot clinic at work today.

L - will stop and pick it up when I'm out at lunch - Wendy's small taco salad (thanks Tracey for the craving)

S - Greek yogurt if I'm hungry

D - 4 oz leftover chicken & roasted veggies with feta on top

Have a good one,

Good morning everyone.  Karen good to see you back.  Lots on the go today.  This afternoon having coffee with a friend and tonight DH and I will go out for dinner and to listen to live music.  If I can get more time in the garden, that would be great too.

Wow - great stats CC!

You must be either at or very near to goal.  You have eaten consistently since day one with good eats

Thanks Barb. I've had my share of bad choice moments over the last 15 months, especially after my fall. But I try to as you always say get back on the horse.   As for goal, i've met my surgeon's goal, but would like to lose more. When I tell people this (including my friend from the forum, shoutout NewMe2.0) they say lose weight from where, I have nowhere else to lose from. Trust me I know where! Lol.  I guess I'm just afraid of bounceback.

Fear of bounce back is a good thing.  Been there on that one.

Really watch yourself from 18 months on - seems to be a trouble time for many
