Surgery in 3 Days...
My VSG is scheduled to go down in 3 days. I'm very excited, not really nervous, just anxious to get this party started.
I know I've seen tons of threads about "what did you bring to the hospital" and they even give us a check list (most humorously, they advise against bringing a large tv... which means... someone has brought a large tv and they felt it necessary to add to the "rules).
I'll be at TWH. I realize that anything I bring is "at my own risk", but there will be nearly an entire day where I won't have any visitors. Do you think it's "safe" to bring my iPad and iPhone? I'd like to be able to keep in touch with family, especially those far away. Of course, I won't walk down to the vending machine and drop my iPad off there for safe keeping. But within reason, within my room, should it be OK? I don't know if we have a locker or anything.

I brought my iPhone and was in the hospital for 5 days as I had a complication and I had no trouble. I too brought my phone with me when I walked the halls and also when I went to the loo. hehe.
I am sooo happy for you that your surgery is so soon! Sending good thoughts your way and you're in great hands at TWH!!
This post just reminded me -- when I was in for my surgery I had my cell with me. One of the gowns they gave me had a pocket for the heart rate monitor. Once they took the monitor off it was perfect for carrying my cellphone, especially in the bathroom ;) totally forgot I did that!! I tried to keep that gown so I could have the pocket.
Good luck T!!! Can't wait to hear from you post surgery.....but only when you are feeling up to it.
