Has anyone ever had food stuck for this long!!??

I have been feeling really awful all day. Sooo much pain in my tummy and nausea. Finally an hour ago, it was too much to bear and I made myself vomit.

For lack of being gross.....I have no idea how that much "stuff" was in my tiny pouch! You may recall that I am 2 years post op, but had a revision 6 weeks ago and lost 30% of my pouch to ulcers....so what remains is very tiny!

What struck me as odd is that at the very end of my vomitting session....I threw up a bunch of scrambled eggs that I ate yesterday morning! So I had two days of food piling up on top of it....no wonder I was soooo uncomfortable!

My surgeon at TWH is suspicious of a stricture....and so am I now. Liquids seem to pass ok, but all food is painful....if it gets down at all.

Has anyone else had food stuck for that long? I was especially freaked out as I also vomitted bright red blood and I immediately flashed back to my ulcer scares. I was soooo worried I may have them again! I've basically been told that if I ulcer again I will either be having a complete reversal or my pouch will be removed entirely and they will be attaching my esophagus right to my intestines....neither option is what I want.

Im going to say it again though....still NO REGRETS!

You had a scrambled egg in your sleeve for 24 hours, it DOES sound like a stricture. There is no other reason I can think of that you can't seem to digest a soft food like scrambled egg @ six weeks out. I would start puree stage again and up your protein shakes until you can get this situation assessed by your surgeon. At least then you will be getting in some nutrition.
