NSV Take THAT Silver Streak!
Three years ago I went to Canada's Wonderland and the very first ride I attempted to go on (silver streak)....I was too big for them to get the restraints closed. I had to do the humiliating walk of shame off the ride. I was sooo embarrased and did not attempt to go on any other rides the entire day. I was 320 pounds.
This past weekend we took our seven year old twins...and damn it, I rode EVERY.SINGLE.RIDE in that park!! I had room to spare on each one...even the ones warning about the seats being small.
When I got off silver streak I actually cried! I am now 158 pounds and still losing. Life is good!
My boys had the most amazing day! Not a single line for any ride....and my one fearless boy and I rode Leviathan three times in a row.
It makes everything worth it! I'm living life again. No regrets!! ?
Way to go hmtmomof4! I am so happy for you and proud of you. This really hits home for me too, as my husband and I have never been to Wonderland and he's always wanted to go. I've always told him we can't go because of my weight. I was 290 before surgery. Now I am 190 and still losing so I can't wait to go in the spring or summer of 2016! WOO HOO!
What a fabulous NSV. Not just for you, but for your whole family to enjoy it together.
