Medications for back pain

Sorry for chiming in, I am still pre surgery and don't know all the dos and don'ts. Hope you find something that helps you feel better.

Voltaren gel is not allowed as it is an anti inflammatory and is absorbed though the skin and will have the same effect as Advil on your gut. Although heat often feels good temporarily heat also will not help inflamed muscles in your back. Heat causes the swelling to remain. Cold packs is the only real way to decrease the swelling in the muscles in your back. 20 min on 20 min off.

Thanks. Well not liking the idea of cold. Brrrr but will do anything to get rid of this pain
