GNC Total Lean vs Premier Protein Cost?
Hi Guys!
Just popping in to see if anyone can help me with this.
I am almost two years post RNY, but I had a revision Sept. 12th due to bleeding ulcers. They had to remove some of my pouch so what remains is very small and I am really struggling. I seem to vomit almost everything.
Was at TWH yesterday and they are booking me for yet another Endoscopy as soon as possible to check for a stricture! If there is one, it's not too bad as liquids are staying down at least
Anyhow, I've pretty much given up on solid/pureed foods at this point and am going back to full liquids. I've tried soooo many powders and cannot stand them! The only way to mix them properly is with a blender and then I'm left with a glass of foam....gross!
I used to drink the pre made one from Costco two years ago and loved it..premier protein. I hear everyone talking about the GNC pre made.
Can anyone tell me the price of both? I think Premier came in a case of 18, but I don't remember the cost. No clue how much the GNC ones are. I'm trying to find the most financially feasible ones as I will be drinking 2-3 a day.
Thanks guys!
I am sorry to hear of your health issues. I have also read alot about gnc drinks and went to check them out. They aren't whey isolate, which is what my centre (hrrh) recommends. I did however give them a go. I liked them very much,,I tried the strawberry and vanilla.
As an RNY wls patient I won't absorb as much of the protein as the premier protein ones, but I will admit they were a nice change.
Much less expensive as well, but again, RNY pouches won't absorb as much protein as we would a whey isolate protein.
Hope things finally turn around for you.

Really, sheesh! I don't drink them often now, I will rethink buying them if they aren't a whey isolate blend.
Thanks for letting me know.

so many threads about GNC versus Premier in the last few weeks so I bought a couple bottles of the GNC just to see what I was missing. some nice flavours but I found them to be watery and less filling and so if you are going to be using them as a meal I'm thinking they won't keep you full.
Premier is more expensive and the price went up a month or so ago so I'm still burning and stinging over that. Case of 18 is now $32.99 but the quality and my specific health needs is always going to come first for me.
If you buy a GNC member card ($10), you get a discount on all purchases. This reduces the cost of the shakes. They go on sale often and that's when I buy. I believe a case is 16 shakes for around $25. Unfortunately, I just cleaned out my wallet and recycled the receipt. I do remember that buying 2 cases of the shake zeros out the cost of the card.
I like them because they aren't thick, don't have a creepy after taste, and actually taste really good. I can't stand the thick shakes that feel like I'm swallowing unset pudding. You can buy singles (they even have them refrigerated if you want to try one and then buy a case if you like it).
I believe the GNC lean has a little less protein per shake, but I don't know if the volume of the shakes is the same.

25 actually, not that it matters for 1 gram.
They're both a protein blend now. GNC are cheaper if you have a card. They also taste SO MUCH better than the Premier (and I'm a Premier fan for many, many years). Both are basically equally good. Buy what makes you want to drink them.
