I am buzzing with excitement...NOVEMBER 13 I go in for surgery.
I start my Opti Fast on October 23.
I was praying for patience this morning and then at 2:20 was told the phone was for me and BOOM...booked...YEAH!!!!
I will get called next week to book the appointment you do before surgery...anethetic consult I think...through Ottawa
1st referral-June 2014, sent back and resubmitted September 2014. Wrong referral-medical not surgical. December 22-Surgical Referral sent in.
March 2, 2015-Orientation session; April 8, 2015-Blood work completed; May 12, 2015-Intake appointment; July 24, 2015 Dietician/Behaviourist; August 26, 2015 Pre-surgery class; September 21, 2015 Meet the surgeon; SURGERY NOVEMBER 13, 2015

i did my preadmin appointment two days ago. I saw a nurse, anethesiologist, and pharmacist. They also took my blood and I hit an ECG. Not everyone has to have an ECG.

I think that most people do have it. An ECG helps to determine the status of your heart before surgery. It's not exactly something done before ANY surgery for all people.. but as most of us are morbidly obese it just makes sense.

Surgeon#1 - May 15th Dr. Glazer - July 23rd, Dietitian/Social Worker/RN - Aug 1st, Surgeon #2 - Sept 10th, Surgery - Dec 16th, 2014!
Possibly. The other two people having WLS going through the pre-admin appointment at the same time as me didn't have one. But, I just mentioned in case she does/does not need--she will know it's not unheard of but also not necessary for everyone.
