Hi Everyone,

So I have been walking a lot, cleaning and anything to keep active.  So I know we cannot to do any weight lifting until 3 months.  My question is can I start running on my treadmill or this consider as too much?

Thanks B

My surgeon gave me clearance to do any exercise after my one month appt, but when I tried running on a treadmill I felt like one of my incisions was pulling. Not a good feeling. Once you get the go-ahead from your health team you may have to see how your body feels :)

I have tried running and it was not fun. I like running, but you can feel your stitches.

You cannot do weights over 10 pounds, but you can do light weights with high reps/ sets

I was about 6 months out before I started running.  I joined the "running room" which helped to get me started and eased into it.

Now I run 10km!

Good luck.  Make sure you get your surgeon's go ahead before running!

I went back to playing soccer after I was cleared at 6 weeks. I didn't have any problems running. I was a bit more klutzy and uncoordinated than usual for my first few weeks so give yourself some slack.
