Start Opti Tomorrow
Well tomorrow is the big day. I start my two weeks of Opti. Then surgery on the 8th. I have been looking forward to this day for years now. I've researched, I've prepared myself. I have all the extracts and syrups. I've got this.
So why am I so nervous. I'm 2 weeks away from something I've been wanting for 8 yrs now. I know that these feelings are normal it's a huge surgery. I just thought I would be more excited than nervous when the time came.
Here's to the next chapter! Better make some room on that bench. I'll be there soon!
Hi there:
I still have a bit of a wait for surgery but what I read in your post tells me that you have taken your journey really seriously and this really matters to you. I think the nerves are a valid part of this and help us to feel "right" about our decision. Good luck and enjoy your spot on the bench!!
I just want to interject here for a brief moment. You mention you have your extracts and syrups. If you are referring to adding a little flavour to your opti fast. A little warning. Something I had to learn the hard way. Some syrups and extracts are made with alcohol. Be sure NOT to use these with opti. The opti will kirtle and lump in your stomach. Even some non alcohol flavours will do the same. When you mix your opti, take an oz in a glass and squirt your flavour. Stir , taste to make sure you like the flavour and with a teaspoon check to make sure it didn't lump and kirtle. Otherwise enjoy. I have a magic bullet that worked out perfectly for amount of water to add to opti package. It also whipped it up to a very nice drink. If you know anybody that grows mint leaves in their backyard...add the mint leaves to the chocolate opti.
Otherwise enjoy your opti your surgery is soon coming and you need to be in shape inside and out for the surgery. Keep telling yourself, this opti is necessary to take the fat out of your liver for safe surgery.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. You will see this in the morning. Ice...well I have an ice crusher on my fridge door. But even will work for ice cubes . In the tall container for the magic bullet. Put in two ice cubes and then your opti and almost fill with water. Don't go to top...about 1/4 inch from top. In other words, you don't need to measure a full 300 ml of water. Then screw on the chopping blades and mix at least 30 seconds. That will chop the ice and mix to a nice frothy drink. Don't forget to pour a little into glass and try your zero cal flavour to make sure it doesn't separate. If you feel that is not enough ice, next time three but I found that my crushed ice was approx two cubes. Enjoy. If you go past a second cup...they have zero cal coffee sqirts that you can have with vanilla opti in the morning to make it taste like a frappacino. I would have hazelnut coffee flavour in vanilla in the morning. At lunch mint or cherry with the chocolate and supper time back to vanilla with .... Are you ready ... Zero cal pomegranate that I found at Winners.

Congratulations, you've come a long way baby! I think it's normal to feel this way, it's a big deal. I'm nervous too and I haven't even got my surgery date yet. I'm watiing for Dr. Hagan's office to tell me what is going on. I've passed by trio appointments. I called yesterday morning for surgery date and another appt and was told to call back Wed morning. Anyway, apprehension is part of the whole scenario I think. Good luck on Opti.
