Thank you Pat, I am hoping for it to start to go down soon.  I feel like it is going to burst.  Ice helps the real tender and bruised areas a bit.

When the doctor told me at least 6 weeks to resolve, I didn't think it would take that long, now I think it might.

Judy, when my mom had heart surgery a couple of years ago she had the same problem with the bruising and swelling on/in her leg and it DID take about 6 weeks. Hang in there!

Thanks Karen that's good to know.  I assume your mom got her normal leg back.  I know mine is hiding in there somewhere.

I do not have any wise words Judy, just my hugs and positive thoughts.  You have been through the ringer girl, but you have this sunny disposition and great attitude, so I know you will succeed and get through this.  Its incredible reading the amounts of weight people have retained from fluids!  WOW that is incredible.  It will be gone before you know it, and I hope you continue to heal and feel better each day until you are up and walking around HUGS

Thanks Chrissy,  I actually got on the scale first thing this am when my leg is at its smallest and I down a couple pounds.  I had been stalled for a couple weeks before all the medical crap, so I had been staying away from the scale.  Every time I stepped on I had gained.

So today is a good day, even with my big blue leg.

Thanks for you support and encouragement,

judy
