Intro
Hi folks, just introducing myself. I joined almost 5 yrs ago when I was considering looking into WLS, but I was not quite big enough, and not quite ready either. I ended up having another good run of weight loss on my own and hoped I could go further this time and not yo-yo back up.
Well I had a pulmonary embolism in 2013 followed by a lengthy recovery where I was incapacitated, and gained just enough to have the joint pains start, make exercise difficult, and really impact my ability to enjoy life. So, I have just gone through orientation and the first 2 appointments in Guelph.
I have a few questions, but will orient myself first. I remember a very supportive environment from before and look forward to making friends, online or off, to go through this process with. I'm very motivated now and definitely ready, and also ready to try to support others, if I get approved and am able to make a successful journey to the life I used to have.
Nice to meet y'all!

Welcome. I went through Guelph and found the staff to be really kind and understanding. Dr. Reed was my surgeon and I am told he is one of the best. Good luck to you.
