Today I'm three months post-op
That is awesome work. I only did two days of opti and then got a fast surgery date so all the weight lost was post surgery, maybe that is why they were concerned at my clinic. Or it is simply that each person is different. I have many friends who got their surgery done at Guelph and they are very happy and well cared for there so I am sure you are in the best of hands. My complications resulted in me not getting enough calories in to be healthy, so they wanted me to focus on getting enough calories in first. In other words, I was not losing weight in a healthy manner because I couldn't eat enough. You have done a fantastic job, and from what I read in your profile, you are doing it the absolute right way and are on a great path. All the best to you going forward.
Thanks!! :)
I have been using my fitness pal to enter my meals for about a month and I have been getting between 700-900 calories a day. Sometimes that seems a bit high to me, but I'm following the plan from my clinic. I have had trouble getting all the fluids in, but I have a reminder app on my phone and I have continued to get more in each day :)
With having the syncope spells I did have to increase my salt intake, so my carbs have gone up as the dietitian suggested eating salted crackers, deli meats, canned vegetables, and a few other things.
It sounds like your clinic is also taking care of you :) as you said, each journey is different. It can be hard and frustrating at times, but so worth it!!
