Alcohol & pre-op
Good morning,
I'm going through TWH, and scheduled to meet my surgeon on June 26th (excited!). I'm assuming surgery would be 4+ weeks afterward. Woot.
I have not had a sip of anything with booze in it since New Years, yet I have a huge wedding coming up on June 20th. I wouldn't mind a couple of glasses of wine. I know there was a guideline as to how long we should cease drinking alcohol prior to surgery - think I can find it? Nope.
Anyone know? Not a big deal if I can't - the surgery is more important and I don't want to jeopardize that in any way. Just thought I'd check :)
Thanks in advance -

I've never heard of a pre-surgery alcohol guideline (unless someone was drinking wine on Optifast that is lol) - I wouldn't worry about it.

I went through TWH and they didn't tell us to stop alcohol before surgery (except for Opti as Karen says). That was 2.5 years ago, though, so things might have changed. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it, especially if you don't even have a date set yet for surgery.
