At 3 1/2 years out I am challenging myself to be as active as possible. Because of arthritis and torn parts in my knee I will never be a runner. Frankly I still have issues making it too far walking although I do like to pu**** as far as possible.

Well today I finally reached a goal I had set for myself. I started swimming lengths a few months ago and today I made it to 30 lengths (25 yrd pool) This is 685 meters.

No way could I have done this pre wls. I just had to share

Way to go Pat!  Keep on challenging yourself.  Won't be long until you've hit 700 meters.

I guess I will have to work out how many lengths that is. That would be a nice round number to aim for.

Hit 1 more lap, and you pass 700.

The calculator I used said 25 yrds = just under 23 m

I'm a swimmer as well.  I feel like I'm flying when all cylinders are pumping.  Good for you on the lengths, 66 is a mile, to mix metric & imperial.

I have met many serious swimmers well into their golden years. One woman who turns out every morning is 89years old!  It is a terrific all around workout.

There are a few older swimmers where I swim. It is a mix since it is at lunch. It is also fairly warm. I find it has really helped my core muscles. Due to some issues I have I tend to stagger at times. It was worse when I was obese. But I am finding my balance so much better.

I think it also toned my bat wings a little LOL
