It is infuriating isn't it. I always have to breath and then decide how I want to reply...politely or provide an educational response so they learn, or reflect things back on them.  

I have  learned that most do not care to learn what does not impact them, or think they know it all.  Reflecting their comments back to them yields "well I did not have surgery",  so for me the easiest thing is to just smile and shrug it off and move on.  

Some people are who they are and in the end as long as I know what I am doing just ignore the unsolicited advice and comments from others.

WOW - your friend is rude. Calling you missy, no matter what else is in the sentence, is over the top. I'd tell her to go pound sand. Your husband needs to back off too. I'd like to think it's coming from a good place and that they are just concerned and want you to be successful but their approach is inappropriate.
